The challenge
A precision engineering firm received an RFP from an automotive manufacturer during a busy production period. Its bid writer was on leave and the production team was occupied with existing orders. With seven days to respond, the managing director needed additional capacity to pursue the contract.
§ 02
Our approach
We reviewed the tender and agreed support for the response. Interviews with the production manager were arranged between shifts, covering manufacturing methods, quality systems and supply-chain requirements. We used that information to develop the written answers and supporting material, with the production team supplying the technical detail.
§ 03
The result
The response was submitted on Thursday and shortlisted within a week. We then provided a briefing pack for the buyer's site visit. The firm won a £12M contract over three years, the largest single contract in its 40-year history. The business made two subsequent hires and continued using Bidgen for major bids: “Why change a winning formula?”
“We nearly walked away from £12M because we couldn't write a bid. Bidgen saved us.”
